This canvas was so fun to stitch - each row has a different stitch - or variation on one previously used,
and there are 16, count them, 16!! different threads in fabulous textures and hues of royal purple, teal,
lime, pale yellow green, black and white. I am working out some simple bead fringe for the bottom, so stop

Summer Workshop
with Suzanne Howren and Beth Robertson
Sunday, June 10 from 10 a.m. til 4 p.m.
The talented SHEAR Creations duo will be teaching Suzanne's version of the Whimsical Present featured in
the November/December issue of Needlepoint Now. Take a simple canvas design (by Beth Gantz) , add fabulous
stitches and embellishments and voila - a holiday masterpiece! Suzanne has used Kreinik Hot Wire, sequins,
gorgeous silks and other metallic threads to really add personality to this little red and green package.
It is a 5x5 design on 18 ct canvas. Your fee of $150 includes a full day of class, canvas on stretcher bars,
full thread kit, written instructions and lunch. A deposit of $50 is required by April 28 to reserve your place,
and the balance will be due by May 26. If you don't have the magazine, stop in to see the photo. Also during
this time, we will have The Collection/All About Stitching trunk show in the shop which will include the sequins
and star embellishments - stock up to add more fun to your creations after learning some terrific techniques for
attaching them. Sign up early!!!!
Santa Series - the March 10 and 23
Classes are filling fast, so call or stop by to reserve your place! I will be
setting the dates for Santa 3 very soon, so stay tuned.
NEW IN THE SHOP:
I have ordered a few kits from Glorafilia - pretty, traditional pillows and a few smaller designs on 10-12
ct canvas for easier stitching - one went out the day they arrived! We are awaiting 9 new colors of Neon Rays
Plus - the rayon and metallic ribbon that everyone likes so well, and still more colors of Silk Lame Braid are
arriving this week. Rainbow Gallery has a new acrylic handled laying tool in bright colors that I can't wait to
use, and there is a new book from Julia Snyder coming soon. We have new catalog pages from Melissa Shirley - or
check her website for 2012 releases - some beautiful and fun new things. New belts from Jane Nichols are coming in,
and I am adding more colors of Threadworx overdyed floss......to be continued!
